My Experience on Disney Property: Part 2

Hello, Disney Lovers! Happy, Saturday, and I hope everyone had a wonderful week!  Tonight, I will be doing part two to my experience on Disney property. If you have not read part one, click here, and it will send you straight to that post. I have some fun news, so please, stick around for the end of this post!

I am going to start this post off with what our room was like at the Caribbean Beach Resort. The room was small, but in every room, they have this pull down bed from the wall that has a twin size mattress. You also get a king’s size bed or two queen’s size bed, depending on what you reserved for your rooms. You can either get a regular room or a pirate themed room. We got a regular room. Also, in the room is a table with a couple of chairs, maybe a mini fridge (but I don’t remember), a nightstand and a TV, of course. The bathroom in the room had these sliding doors, which I liked. Now on to the resort itself. There is a movie playing outside every night, and the pools were very nice! At one pool, they even had water slides. I loved what the food court look liked. The food court is called Old Port Royale, and they also have a sit down restaurant, Shutters at Old Port Royale. The souvenir store that is attached to Old Port Royale is very big.  One afternoon while we were at Disney, we went to the “beach” they have at the Caribbean Beach and just relaxed in the hammocks, and it was very nice! I love the bright colors they have at this resort.

Next, I am going to talk about the transportation to the Parks. They had a bus stop at each “island.”  I hated how long we had to wait! We missed a bus going to the certain Park we were going to that day,  and then we waited quite sometime later until another bus came. I would rather have rented a car because the Disney transportation buses were very annoying.

Lastly, I am going to talk about our   ride back to the airport. We went to the check in/ check out place by taking a Disney transportation bus just for the resort. We told them what are flight number was and checked in our luggage. It was very easy and fast. They recommend you go on the Magical Express three hours before your flight, so that is what we did. They had this video on the Magical Express about tips on planning your next vacation, things to do next time you come, and what to do when you got to the airport.

Overall, I am not so sure how I feel about  Disney property. There are definitely pros and cons, but I am glad I finally got to stay at a Disney resort! Okay, now, I am going to tell you my fun news. It is not that big of a deal, but I think it is fun. Recently, I created a Facebook page for my blog, so if you would go check it out and give it like, that would be great! On this Facebook page, I am going to post photos from past vacations, random Disney things, updates for my blog, and links to my recent posts. If you would like to check out my Facebook page,  click here! Anyway, thanks so much for reading, and let me know in the comments if you have ever stayed on Disney property, and what you thought of it!
Have a magical evening!

My Experience on Disney Property: Part 1

Hello, Disney Lovers! Today, I am finally bringing you all a much promised post! I have been telling you readers that I would publish some posts about my latest trip to Disney in November for about two months now. This trip was my first time I ever stayed on Disney property, so I thought I would write about it from the planning to transportation to the resort itself!

First off, I am going to talk about the planning process. First, we booked our flight and then our room. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach, which is a moderate resort.  After you book your room, if you are flying and planning on using the  transportation from the airport to your resort, you have to say when your flight is arriving, your flight number, and other things I do not quite remember, but it was pretty simple. If you are using the Magical Express, they will later send you this thing to put on your luggage, so Disney will know what resort and room to send your luggage to. The luggage paper slip thing or whatever it is called comes a few weeks before you arrive. Next, we ordered our Disney tickets and customized our MagicBands. We started looking for dining reservations, and to my surprise I actually found the number one reservation I wanted, Be Our Guest at the Magic Kingdom. It was such a surprise because we literally planned this trip a little less then three months in advance. Then, we made our FastPasses, and we actually did not do it at the 60 day mark to when we were going to the certain Disney Park.  We did it at 63 or 64; if you are staying on property, you can actually just add how many days you are staying to 60, and that’s when you can make your FastPasses(Please, note you do not have to make it at the time. You could do it at 60, 50, 40, etc). I forget when, but at some point, this little packet came to tell us about tips for planning our vacation, things for us to see while we are there, and all about our trip. It was really fun and exciting! It even had our last name on the front; it said (last name)  family’s incredible vacation on the front with the Incredibles, of course! The number one exciting thing of our ‘Disney mail’ was when the MagicBands came! I got so excited!

We had no trouble whatsoever getting on the Magical Express at the airport. It was such a fun ride because they had little TV screens playing a fun video of things to see and do while at Disney,  behind the scenes, Disney artists drawing, and Disney trivia. It did take awhile, though, for us to get to our resort since there were two other resorts for dropping off. Once we got there, we had to check in. We also came up with a pin/password for our MagicBands, so we could buy things via our MagicBands. Then after that, we had to ride a shuttle, which took so long, to go to our “island”(Each section where there are rooms here is called a Caribbean island). Our luggage took forever to get to our room. It took so long, and it was very annoying.

I do not want this post to be too long, so I am going to do a part two to this about the Disney transportation bus to the Parks and Disney Springs, the things to do at the resort, our room, and our ride back to the airport. I hope you enjoyed part one, and keep a look out for part two coming soon!

Have a magical day!

Important Things Happening for Disney-2017

Before I start this post, I want to acknowledge one thing:  two year agos  today, I started my blog. That feels like such a long time ago, but I remember how excited I was to start my blog. I can’t believe I have had this blog now for two years now. It has been such an amazing experience to be a blogger, and I can’t wait to see what is in store in the upcoming years. One thing I can’t believe is that I almost have 1,000 followers because at first it was hard for me to get even 20 followers. Thank you so much to all my readers for supporting my blog and being so nice and encouraging! I have some exciting posts coming your way this year, and I hope this year will be a better year of blogging since last year was all over the place from several blog posts weekly to only doing a post a month.

Okay, on to the post. Last year I did a post on important things  happening for Disney in 2016, so I thought that I would also do a post like that for 2017. I have mixed-feelings about what Disney has in store this year. Here are some of the major things happening for Disney from movies to the theme parks!

Movies:

•Beauty and the Beast: If you have been following my blog for awhile, you would know I am one of the biggest fans of Beauty and the Beast, and when I heard that Disney was going to be making a live-action version of my favorite Disney movie, I was so excited! March 2017 felt so long away, but I cannot believe it is coming out in around two months! I have been waiting for this movie for so long, and I absolutely cannot wait to see it! I know a lot of Disney fans are not excited since of what happened with Maleficent and Alice in Wonderland, but I am confident that this movie will be amazing since Cinderella was amazing, and Jungle Book was pretty good!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales: I tried watching the first film, but I did not like it and didn’t even end up finishing it. I will not be seeing this movie coming out in May.

•Cars 3: I did not love Cars 2, so I am not looking forward to this. I think it should be interesting, but I am not expecting to love this movie that is coming out in June. Since what happened with Toy Story 3(Pixar ruined the Toy Story series with the third, in my opinion), I am kind of expecting this to be a crappy movie. But who knows? Maybe it will surprise me, and I will end up liking it.

Coco: This is another Pixar movie, and it is coming out in November. All I know so far about this movie is that it is based on the holiday, Day of the Dead, in Mexico. It is definitely going to be different than Pixar’s other movies, but I think it will be special.

Star Wars 8: I loved Star Wars 7, so I cannot wait to see this movie! I am so interested in who is Rey’s family and possibly if she is related to Luke Skywalker. I cannot wait to see what is in store for this movie in December. Speaking of Star Wars, I was very sad when I found out that Carrie Fisher had passed away.

Disney Parks:

•Avatar Land in Animal Kingdom: I have never seen Avatar, and not planning to anytime soon. As you are probably guessing, I am not too excited for this land. However, I do think it will be cool to see. It is opening in the summer.

•Rivers of the Light in Animal Kingdom: This show may finally be coming to Animal Kingdom!  Though I don’t know if it is official yet, I cannot wait to see what is like.

•Guardians of the Galaxy in California Adventure( in Disneyland Resort). This attraction is replacing Tower of Terror at the Disneyland Resort. This should be a really  interesting attraction, but I really hope that they do not close Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios! This attraction will opening  in the summer.

So, there is not much happening in the Parks(besides Star Wars and Toy Story Land under construction), and I am only looking forward to a couple movies, so this does not look like the greatest year of Disney things. Hopefully, next year will be a lot better, but I am still excited for Beauty and the Beast and Star Wars 8 this year. If you enjoyed this post, I linked my 2016 version of this post down below. Anyway, I am hoping to write some posts soon about my latest Disney trip I took in November, so keep an eye out for more posts coming your way!
